The Trade Desk announced on 3 September a plan to cut its total workforce by about 15%, according to a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission [1].

The cuts are to be substantially complete in the third quarter of 2026. The company expects $39 million to $51 million in cash charges for severance and benefits [1].

It describes the plan as an "organizational realignment" to "align resources with the Company's highest-priority growth opportunities" [1].

What it measures

The Trade Desk had 3,843 full-time employees in 21 countries at the end of 2025: about 63% in North America, 20% in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and 17% in Asia-Pacific [2].

If its headcount was similar in September, 15% would be roughly 580 people. That estimate is ours, from the two filings [1][2].
