Oracle's remaining performance obligations, revenue it has under contract but has not yet earned, rose to $664 billion, up $209 billion on a year earlier, it reported on 10 September [1].
The company said it booked more than $30 billion of new AI cloud contracts in the quarter to 31 August [1].
Revenue rose 30% to $19.3 billion. Cloud infrastructure revenue grew 121% to $7.4 billion, while revenue from software licences and support fell 3% [1].
What it measures
Oracle's results for its first financial quarter of 2027, as filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission [1].
Operating cash flow was $23 billion, but free cash flow was negative $5 billion, as spending on data centres ran ahead of it [1].
In the quarter Oracle sold $20 billion of new shares through an at-the-market programme, part of what it calls its capital investment programme [1].
It says it delivered more than 300,000 GPUs to AI cloud customers since the end of the previous quarter [1].
What it does not tell you
When the $664 billion will turn into revenue, or how much depends on a few large customers. The release gives no schedule and names no customers [1].
The GPU count and the contracts figure are the company's own statements, not lines in the financial tables [1].
